Course 14 · Lesson 7 of 11
Automate the Content Engine
What you will walk away with: an automated content posting system that keeps your Google Business Profile active without you spending hours on it weekly.
Google penalizes static profiles. If you do not post regularly, your visibility drops. The solution is not to spend 5 hours a week writing GBP posts. The solution is to automate it.
The simplest automation: a Claude Code skill that generates a week of GBP posts in one prompt, and a tool like Pabbly Connect or Make.com that posts them on schedule.
Why Pabbly or Make instead of direct API: Google Business Profile API access requires a 7 to 14 day approval process. Pabbly and Make have pre-authenticated integrations so you can start immediately.
Create a Claude Code skill called gbp-week:
Create a new skill in my Claude Code called "gbp-week".
When I invoke it, it should:
- Read business-info.md and any voice.md or tone.md files I have
- Generate exactly 5 Google Business Profile posts for the week
- Each post should be under 1500 characters (GBP limit)
- Each post should focus on ONE specific service, customer outcome, or
recent project — not generic content
- No emojis unless I include them in my reference files
- Each post should end with a soft CTA (call us, visit our site, book a
consultation — not pushy sales language)
- Output as 5 separate files in a /posts/[this week's date]/ folder
- Also output a single CSV with columns: Post Date, Post Text, Image
Suggestion (a 1-line description of what kind of image fits)
Save the skill to my Claude Code. From now on when I say "gbp-week" it
should run this whole process.
Now once a week you run /gbp-week, get 5 posts, and either post them manually (5 minutes) or push them through Pabbly Connect to your GBP automatically.
Same approach for blog posts. Create a skill called local-blog:
Create a new skill called "local-blog".
When I invoke it with a keyword, it should:
- Read business-info.md
- Use web search to find the top 3 ranking pages for that keyword
- Note their average word count, section structure, and gaps
- Write a new blog post that is more comprehensive and useful
- Include LocalBusiness + Article schema in the head
- Include 2 internal links to my service pages
- Include a clear CTA at the end
- Save as a single HTML file in /blog/[slug]/ folder
- Log the keyword and date to a /blog/log.csv file so I do not duplicate
topics later
Save this skill.
Now writing a blog takes one prompt: /local-blog "best wedding venues in London" and you have a publishable post.
For automating the actual posting to your GBP from these generated files, the workflow is:
- Sign up for Pabbly Connect (free tier available).
- Create a workflow: Trigger = "New file in folder" (point to your /posts/ folder via Google Drive or Dropbox if you sync) → Action = "Google Business Profile: Create Post."
- Map the file content to the GBP post body.
- Test once. Then leave it running.
- This gives you a system where every Friday Claude generates next week's content, and Pabbly posts it on the right days.
