Course 06 · Lesson 1 of 13
Web Apps: Start Here
A website shows people things.
A web app does things with people.
That shift from display to interaction is what this course is about. You are going to build something that responds to what users do, remembers their data, and delivers a result they came for.
What you will build
By the end of this course you will have a complete deployed web application that is interactive and genuinely useful.
Choose one of these as your project:
- A business calculator that takes inputs and gives a specific result such as ROI, pricing, savings, or loan payments.
- A quiz or assessment app that scores answers and delivers personalised feedback based on the result.
- A task or habit tracker that saves progress in the browser so it persists between visits.
- A content generator that takes inputs from the user and produces written output.
What you will learn
What separates a web app from a website.
The types of apps you can realistically build in one session.
How to plan an app before prompting, covering inputs, outputs, behavior, and states.
How JavaScript works without ever writing any yourself.
The master build prompt that builds a full interactive app in one go.
How to save user data with localStorage without needing a server or database.
How to build a calculator app and a quiz app with ready-to-use prompts.
How to test every part of an app before sharing it.
How to debug when something does not work.
How to deploy an interactive app live.
What you need before starting
Claude Code installed from Track 1. Your CLAUDE.md with design rules set up from Track 2. The website and landing page workflows understood from Tracks 3 and 4. A project idea, even a rough one is fine to start.
Why this changes what you can build
With websites and landing pages you are building presence and capture.
With web apps you are building tools. Tools that solve specific problems. Tools that people come back to use repeatedly. Tools that can become products.
Every calculator you build is a potential lead magnet. Every quiz is a potential conversion tool. Every tracker is a potential subscription product.
This is where Claude Code stops being impressive and starts being income-generating.
Do it with other builders
Post your homework. Get unstuck.
Every course ends with homework. Post yours in Claude Codex Mastery, the community this course comes from, and get feedback from Yar and 400+ people building the same way.
