Build a 1-Person AI Business with Claude/Browser Games

Course 08 · Lesson 1 of 11

Games: Start Here

Build complete, playable browser games with Claude Code and no coding knowledge

Browser games are one of the most requested things to build with Claude Code. They are also one of the most impressive things to show people: a fully playable game with your own rules, your own design, running in a browser tab.

This course teaches you how to build them without writing a single line of code yourself.

What you will build

By the end of this course you will have built at least one complete playable browser game. The course covers five types.

Memory Match: flip cards to find matching pairs, track your score and time.

Snake: the classic grid game with increasing speed and a high score system.

Clicker Game: an idle and incremental game with upgrades, currencies, and localStorage save states.

Word Game: a Wordle-style guessing game with your own custom word list.

Brick Breaker: a ball-and-paddle arcade game with levels and lives.

Every game in this course is built with three standard files: index.html, style.css, and main.js. No game engines. No npm. No installation. Claude writes the code and you open the file in a browser.

What you will learn

How browser games actually work including the game loop, state, and input explained in plain English.

How to describe game mechanics to Claude so it builds them correctly the first time.

How to build five different game genres from a single prompt.

How to add sound effects without downloading any audio files.

How to save high scores so they persist between browser sessions.

How to make games work on mobile touchscreens.

The master game build prompt that produces any game in one session.

What you need before starting

Claude Code installed and working from Track 1. A project folder on your computer for each game. Chrome or Firefox for testing. Nothing else: no accounts and no additional tools required.

One thing that is different about games

Websites display information. Web apps calculate and store things. Games simulate a world.

That simulation has to update itself 60 times per second, respond to every keypress and click in real time, track ongoing state covering score, position, and lives, and know when something has collided with something else.

This sounds complex. For Claude it is not. Claude has built thousands of browser games and knows exactly how to structure the game loop, handle input, and manage state. Your job is to describe the experience: what the player sees, what they control, and what the rules are. Claude converts that description into a working game.

The more specific your description, the better the game.
