Course 13 · Lesson 13 of 14
Course Summary: AI Ads with Claude
You now have a complete paid advertising system from platform selection and ad copy to testing, analysis, and a campaign operating system that improves every week
Here is everything in this course and how it fits together.
What You Learned
Paid ads are not magic
Ads amplify what already works and they do not fix what does not. The correct order is: get one client organically, understand why they chose you, then run ads with that message to more similar people. Month 1 is data, month 2 is break-even, and month 3 and beyond is where the compounding starts.
Choosing your platform
Meta is for people who are not actively searching. Google is for people who are. LinkedIn is for expensive B2B targeting. Start with one, test it until profitable, then add the second. Most Claude Code builders should start with Meta.
The ad framework
Three parts: the hook which stops the scroll and must be under 125 characters on Meta, the body which acknowledges the problem, states the solution, and adds proof, and the CTA which must be specific, low-commitment, and matched to the offer. Five sentences is often the entire ad that matters. The image or video carries most of the creative weight.
Writing hooks with Claude
20 hooks in 15 minutes. Three types: question, statement, and outcome. Approximately 7 of each, numbered and labelled. Filter with three tests covering specificity, emotion, and audience recognition. Build a hook bank in ADS.md as winners emerge.
Meta ad copy with Claude
Primary text plus headline plus CTA button. Primary text uses the hook at 125 characters followed by 2 to 3 sentences and a CTA line. The headline should be under 40 characters and benefit-led. Write three versions per hook covering the problem angle, the outcome angle, and the social proof angle.
Google Search ads with Claude
RSA format uses 12 to 15 headlines at 30 characters maximum each and 4 descriptions at 90 characters maximum each. Match types should start with exact and phrase match only, saving broad match for when you have 30 or more conversions per month. Quality Score determines how much you pay per click so write relevant ads and not just clever ones.
Creative briefs with Claude
A brief prevents wasted revision rounds. It covers the objective, visual concept, format specs, text overlay, tone, references, and acceptance criteria. Real screenshots of your work outperform stock photos every time.
Setting up your first campaign
For Meta: one campaign with a Leads objective, one ad set with Advantage+ Audience at £5 to £10 per day, and 2 to 3 ads using different variations. Install the Pixel before launch. Do not touch anything for 5 days.
Testing framework
60% of budget behind proven winners, 30% behind variations of winners, and 10% on new swings. Test hook angle first, then creative, then CTA, then landing page. Kill losers after £30 to £50 with bad data. Scale winners at 20 to 30% per week. One variable at a time.
Reading ad results
CPM measures reach cost. CTR measures creative quality with a target of 2% or above. CPC is derived from CTR. CPL is the metric that matters most and must stay under 10% of project value. Track lead quality separately outside your dashboard. The Monday review takes 15 minutes. Make one change per week.
ADS.md
Your campaign operating system containing your offer, audience, platforms, target metrics, winning hooks, testing log, campaign log, and weekly review. Referenced in every Claude prompt. It compounds over time so every campaign starts smarter than the last.
Your ADS.md Checklist
By now ADS.md should contain all of the following.
What I'm Advertising with your offer description and landing page. Target Audience showing who sees the ads and why. Platforms covering your primary platform and starting budget. Target Metrics including your CPL ceiling and target CTR. Winning Hooks which start empty and grow as you test. Campaign Log with your current campaign status and metrics. Testing Log with hypothesis, results, and conclusion for each test. And Weekly Review Log with one line per Monday update.
Track 2 Complete
You have now built the complete Sales and Marketing track.
Course 1: Marketing with Claude covered content, audience, voice, and email newsletter. Course 2: Sales with Claude covered qualifying, discovery, proposals, objections, and closing. Course 3: Outbound Email with Claude covered cold email, signals, sequences, and Instantly. Course 4: AI UGC with Claude covered scripts, HeyGen avatars, ElevenLabs voice, CapCut editing, and UGC.md. Course 5: AI Ads with Claude covered hooks, Meta, Google, testing, and results.
Marketing builds awareness. Sales converts conversations. Outbound reaches cold prospects. UGC creates the creative assets. Ads amplify what already works. Together these five channels give you a complete client acquisition engine that does not depend on any single platform or any single tactic.
What Is Next
The homework is in the next lesson. It asks you to complete ADS.md, write 20 hooks with Claude, produce one complete Meta ad and one Google RSA, and set up your first campaign.
Run it for 30 days before drawing conclusions. The data from the first month will tell you more than any course can.
